Excellent budget accomodation for a night or two in Jesmond.
Considering the budget price, we were delighted with Whites. Our room was clean and bright fully functional, everything worked and it was fine for a short stay which was all we wanted. Our room was front-facing, onto Osborne Road which was a little noisy, but the double glazing kept the noise down to a low level when the window was shut. Yes there's a busy bar downstairs (and outside our window: we were on the first floor) but it's just people having a fun night out and there was no trouble, no excessive noise, and everything started shutting down after 11pm and was quiet by 11:30. Another good stay at Whites, down for work again and it's the go to place for me, rooms are clean and tidy, showers always hot and bed is comfortable, shout out to the staff who are a cracking bunch, be back again no doubt at some point, cheers

Depends what you want. We just needed somewhere to stay over after a concert.The downstairs is a massive loud bar, very popular with young folk. But upstairs, in the hotel rooms, you hear the noise less, and bar closes at 11pm. Hotel is rather shabby, but rooms are fine and have what you need. There’s a £50 deposit against damage. Staff were brilliant, really nice. Basic breakfast in a bag, as part of price, was unexpected bonus… or you can pay extra for cooked. Not a slap up luxury hotel, but fine for a basic stay over. I’d use it again.
